The seasonal flu vaccine (flu jab) protects agains four strains of the flu virus. These are the strains most likely to be circulating this flu season.

The vaccine is available every year to adults and children at risk of flu and its complications.

You need to get a new vaccine every Autumn. This is because the strains of the flu virus change. This is why it is called seasonal flu. But people commonly call it “flu”.

The flu vaccine is available as a nasal spray for children 2 to 17.

If you meet any of the criteria below you are eligible for a free flu vaccine:

• You're 65 years of age and over
• You're pregnant
• You're a child aged 2 to 17 years
• You're an adult or child aged 6 months or older with a long-term health condition like: chronic heart/liver disease, chronic renal failure, respiratory disease, chronic neurological disease, diabetes mellitus haemoglobinopathies, morbid obesity, immunosuppression due to disease or treatment (including treatment for cancer), are a child with a moderate to severe neurodevelopmental disorder.
• You were born with Down syndrome
• You live in a nursing home or other long-term care facility
• You work in healthcare
• You are a carer or live with someone who is at risk of flu because of a long-term health condition
• You are a carer or live with someone who has Down syndrome
• People who are in regular contact with pigs, poultry or waterfowl should get the flu vaccine.

The emergency contraceptive pill, often called "the morning after pill", is a pill that you take after unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy. It is now available without prescription in Ireland, and is available from Crowley's Pharmacy. Our trained pharmacist will take you through a few simple questions in our private consultation room to ascertain if the emergency contraceptive / morning after pill is suitable for you. The whole process shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes and doesn't require an appointment.

It can be calculated by dividing a person’s weight (in kilograms) by his or her height (in meters, squared). • Irish and EU Biometric Passport
• US Pass and Visa
• Canadian Passport and Visa
• Australian Passport and Visa

We will take your passport photo and email it to you in a format that can be used to apply for your passport online. We can also print your photos if you would prefer to apply by post. You don’t need to make an appointment for our Passport Photo Service and your photos will be processed while you wait.

You can now ask your GP to send your prescription via email to our pharmacy. With the recent change in prescription laws as a result of the pandemic, your GP can now send a legal prescription via Healthmail- a safe and secure email portal exclusively for healthcare professionals who work with the HSE. This electronic prescription replaces the traditional paper prescription and the need for you to collect the prescription.
