I have used the original Parasol 20 sun protection for years, hiking all over the world and it was brilliant. This 'new' replacement Parasol products fails on every level - it is now a gel that feels and goes on like hand sanitiser, evaporating as soon as you put it on and/or pilling such that it rubs off your skin as you try to apply it. The alcohol fumes coming off it are dreadful, and if applied to the face the fumes are so strong that they enter your nose and leave a lasting bad taste in the back of the throat. It does NOT offer lasting sun protection in any way and is a complete failure as a replacement product for the original wonderful Parasol 20. I would go so far as to say that the Irish Skin Care/Irish Body Care should be ashamed of releasing this as a so-called replacement 'improved formula' version of the original Parasol 20 product. If you think my review is a one-off, take a look at recent Trust Pilot reviews of this replacement products with reports of severe sun-burning and other issues after depending on this replacement product.
